You will receive individualized attention!
We do not churn out actors, we invest in individuals. At Actor’s Craft, you can achieve an exceptional performance with a variety of solid techniques that encompass your whole person so you can bring yourself fully to your roles!
Classes are small, so your experience will be personal, whether you are a novice or a professional with decades of work. You will have plenty of time up on your feet doing the work.
At Actor’s Craft, we teach acting from a place of service, not ego, which will improve your focus and reduce your stress.
Actor’s Craft classes will help pinpoint what makes you unique and empower you with tools to make dynamic choices and create a presence that is physically, vocally and emotionally engaged.
We can video your self-tape auditions!
Actor’s Craft videotapes auditions and can email them to your casting director or agent. If you choose, you can be coached on your audition piece and your best work will be sent.
You can build your toolbox!!
As well as Professional Acting Classes, Workshops and Private Coaching for Adults, Teens, and Children, Actor’s Craft offers The Dynamic Executive for Public Speaking Training and Executive Presence, Creative Drama for Seniors and Special Needs Adults, and Theater Games & Improv.
We have a stage; and through our Talent Incubator Program, we encourage our students to create their own opportunities with script writing, directing, producing and performance.
Professional Acting Programs include foundation classes in The Chubbuck Technique by Ivana Chubbuck for script analysis, character development and bringing yourself to your roles in relationship-driven scenes. The Chubbuck Technique is the foundation of all of our work. It will take anything you have ever learned about acting to the next level.
Audition Technique, featuring the phrase technique developed by Margie Haber, will teach you how to use the camera for impactful self-tapes, Zoom auditions, and in person auditions (on camera and onstage).
Dramatic Improvisation featuring techniques of Viola Spolin, Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner will help you figure out your type as an actor as you learn to live moment-to-moment with other characters and your environment. Physical and vocal techniques will give you lead actor confidence as you learn vocal variety, and how to become physically dynamic (even in stillness) as you harness your senses to engage yourself and the audience more fully.
Our On-Camera Close-Up Scene Study class will help you MASTER what you have learned and give you muscle memory in these award winning techniques. Some weeks, actors bring auditions for self-taping on-camera and theater productions that are currently casting. Actors work together creating dynamic scenes and self-tapes for real world projects. On-Camera Scene Study each week will grow your skill set as a competitive actor.
Other offerings include Private Coaching, Theater Games & Improvisation Technique, Script Analysis for plays you may be cast in, Play Readings of local playwrights, etc.. We incorporate the techniques of Ivana Chubbuck, Margie Haber, Howard Fine, Jay Goldenberg, Uta Hagen, Viola Spolin, Michael Shurtleff, Larry Parke and Sanford Meisner.
We offer Summer Acting Camps and Summer Acting Intensives!
We offer all-day camps and mini-camps during the summer months. We put up a show in a week in Bring Fairy Tales to Life! Theater Games and Improv teaches actors to live in the moment and think on their feet. Creative Drama builds confidence, stirs the imagination and teaches skills for acting and for life.
Our On-Camera Close-Up Acting Camp helps young actors create video footage to promote themselves as actors as they learn how to work in front of a camera. These days, many companies are creating video content, so this is a skill that can be used in other business professions.
Our Adult Acting Intensive and Teen Acting Intensive are week-long programs that teach Physical Techniques of Acting, Audition Technique for on-camera and stage using the phrase technique developed by Margie Haber, and The Chubbuck Technique created by Ivana Chubbuck which is used across the globe by award-winning actors.
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a vacation while you pursue your acting goals.
